Tales of a Truffle Pig – A Mouth Watering Food and Travel Blog

hannah lewisMy name is Hannah and I have uncanny similarities to a Truffle Pig. They are known for their ability to hunt using their super sensitive snouts to find treasured truffles. Like me, they will spend their lives rummaging around on the search for food (and in my case, places too) to share with the world.

I was born and bred in Brisvegas but I am currently living in Sydney’s beautiful Bondi Beach where I have embraced the lifestyle of sand, sea, kale smoothies and coconuts, but I love nothing more than exploring new places near and far. My goal in life is to travel to every country in the world… ambitious I know, but I am happy to die trying.

My food philosophy is all about eating real, authentic, good quality and most importantly, delicious food. You won’t see me counting my calories but you will never see my in a McDonalds either. I have a phobia of processed meat and a weakness for mexican, dumplings and a lavish breakfast. At home I love to cook healthy, clean dishes which allow me to order whatever I want when I eat out… a truly balanced diet (that is what I like to tell myself anyway). I don’t write bad reviews, but am honest about a place’s weakness but if it isn’t worth going to, I don’t want to write about it. To me a great place to eat, drink or visit isn’t about perfection, is it the whole package – atmosphere, setting, service and smiles.

When it comes to travel, you can take me almost anywhere and I will be happy (as long as there is nice food). I am in my mecca when I am weaving in and out of streets or landscapes by foot or bike, talking to locals, eating street food and unable to put my camera down because of the excitement around me.

I don’t claim to be an expert, but I hope my truffle pig tales about food, holidays and experiences help you never have a bad meal or inspire you to travel the world. I am always open to suggestions, so please feel free to contact me by commenting below or emailing me at talesofatrufflepig@gmail.com

Oink Oink,
Truffle Pig

P.S. I will soon be launching a “SHOP” filled with my hand crafted quotes, prints and other bits and pieces – watch this space!
